It is hard to select a Server Support company as the core functioning of your business might depend on it. The business may fail within few days if they don’t have a reliable network and server support. Here are some points to consider while choosing a reliable support provider

Analyze your needs.

Consider the number of employees are in your organization, servers you are running, Computers and decide whether you need a company that can have a technician or an engineer on-site all the time, or a regular maintenance contract is sufficient. I would suggest companies with more than 30 employees should have at least a technician on-site.

It is not worthy to have a support company whose response time is more than a day,  4 hour response time to your incident is common. It doesn’t mean that your problem should be fixed within 4 hours but the provider should have started working on the issue.

It would be better if you have a same person visit your business or at least have a dedicated account manager who knows exactly about your network, systems and your previous trouble tickets. This saves you a lot of of time and explanation.

Many small server related problems can be solved over the phone, calling a reliable and knowledgeable tech support or having an engineer remotely log in to your screen and fix the bug for you. Find out if your providers have this kind of service, as it saves you time and money.

Price

There are various options of pricing like prepaid packages, service contracts and individual service calls. For security  and pricing choose a service contract or prepaid service as you can save money considerably.In case of  incidental support calls, the support company may not have available staff, which may cause treat and more expensive too.
